Regulatory Affairs Specialist - Food Contact

Role Overview:
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist within the Compliance department, you are responsible for ensuring the registrations of new products and maintaining existing registrations. You will be responsible for global regulatory compliance. You work together with colleagues on location in Veendam, as well as with international colleagues remotely.
As a specialist within Food Contact regulations, you will be considered the expert in all things relating to food, supporting colleagues on annual leave as well as understanding wider regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure global product compliance.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive regulatory affairs strategy.
• Responsible for timely registration of new substances and keeping our current registrations up to date.
• Characterizing our commercial and R&D Products to comply with laws and regulations.
• Following up on various regulations and translating them into our own products.
• Closely monitor risks, opportunities and developments in legislation and regulations and advise the Compliance Manager on these.
• Maintain good communication within and outside the organization in the context of registration applications, file changes as examples.
• Support the Technical Service Representative in answering questions that customers have regarding RA related topics such as REACH and Food Contact Approvals.
Desired Experience:
• Educated with a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or a relatable field.
• Possess the ability to read and interpret technical and regulatory documents.
• Good data management skills and detail orientated.
• Excellent communication skills and dependable.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Ability to command others and ensure everyone is kept up to date and is well informed of the latest regulations and developments with existing and future projects.
• Analytically minded, structured.
• Fluent in English, Dutch language skills are strongly desired but not essential.
