In-Mould Label (IML)
In-Mould Labeling (IML) is an innovative process where a pre-printed label is placed into a mold during the injection molding, blow molding, or thermoforming process. The label becomes an integral part of the finished plastic product. This technique offers several advantages, including increased durability, improved print quality, and the ability to achieve complex designs. IML is widely used in the packaging industry, particularly for food packaging, as it provides a high-quality and long-lasting labeling solution.
Why IML?
High print quality
Various design options
Allows rapid design changes
Solid and scratch resistant
Long-lasting and hygienic structure
Water resistant structure
Short production time and low production costs
Eco-friendly
Raw material surface diversity
Which printing techniques do we use in IML (In Mold Labeling)?
In offset printing technique, Conventional and Led UV printing methods are the most common printing types for IML products.
In Ömür Production Facilities we use both types of Heidelberg (who is considered as a pioneer of international quality standards) conventional and Led UV printing machines that have advanced technology with 6 and 8 color options.
