In 2024, Fried Kunststofftechnik GmbH launched the mass production of the Cubos C44E wallbox: a significant milestone in the field of e-mobility. The calibration-compliant charging solution for electric vehicles impresses with its combination of design, technical innovation, and sustainability.

The Cubos C44E wallbox is used in both private and semi-public areas, such as hotels, commercial enterprises, and company parking lots. For reasons of weight and technology, the dual charging point relies on higher integration of components and thus on plastic technology. All industry-specific requirements, such as thermal management, impact resistance for public spaces, and fire protection, are met. Quality and value also play an important role. Additionally, the wallbox is modular, allowing individual components to be easily replaced on-site if necessary, which extends the lifespan and conserves resources. The use of plastic has also streamlined several manufacturing steps. Furthermore, the special sustainable plastic Bayblend RE from Covestro significantly reduces CO₂ emissions during mass production.

The visible parts of the Cubos C44E are manufactured using the thermoplastic foam injection moulding process, which allows for a wall thickness of 8 mm, thus highlighting the device's quality. These plastic components are then painted. The logo and brand name are applied to the housing using pad printing. The internal parts are made using compact injection molding and installed without painting. For an annual mass production of approximately 2,500 units, the injection molding process has proven to be the optimal solution.
