aXw Control Recyclate Pilot
The ‘aXw Control RecyclatePilot’ is a simple, safe and cost-effective way of achieving consistently uniform mould filling and therefore stable injection moulding processes for high-quality parts.
The software-based assistance function in the ALLROUNDER control system can be activated at the touch of a button to actively compensate for fluctuations in material quality during the processing of plastic pellets. This is particularly effective when processing post-consumer (PCR) and post-industrial recyclates (PIR) and regrind. However, the RecyclatePilot is also advantageous, for example, when changing materials from virgin material or for uneven material drying.
The constant mould filling and the constant shot weight significantly reduce the reject rate and ensure high mould reliability. Further savings potential lies in the fact that the software solution works solely on the basis of standard machine sensors. Additional sensors in the mould are not required. This saves costs and time for calibrations during mould maintenance. Fewer manual corrections also lead to higher machine availability.
With the help of the ‘RecyclatePilot’, even ‘difficult’ plastic granulates can be processed into components of consistent quality that were previously not considered for injection moulding due to fluctuating material or batch reliability. However, inadequate material properties of recyclates cannot, of course, be overcome.
